   </item3><item44>The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. </item44><item5>Audits forms or other documents for compliance with external regulations and internal policies and procedures; prepares internal audit reports; monitors and assists in managing internal controls within and outside the department. 
 
Monitors budgets and forecast projections and reconciles cash accounts.
</item5><item12>Creates various reports through Cognos on a routine basis; analyzes various expenditures and revenues and provides support for management.
 
Ensures all tax records and reporting are IRS compliant. 
 
Manages the asset inventory reporting process and coordination of physical inventory certification 
 
</item12><item14>Creates journal entries to reallocate funds or re-class expenditures in the OAKS system; runs queries and assists fiscal specialists with training on processes and procedures.

Approves purchases, payments and deposits, if necessary, in absence of supervisor.
 
Supports Director of Fiscal <![CDATA[&]]> Management Resources on ad hoc projects and perform other related duties as assigned.</item14><item6>Bachelor's degree required and CPA preferred. Requires four to six years experience within accounting, financial reporting and analysis, auditing, or budgeting/forecasting. Knowledge of applicable state and/or federal laws, rules, procedures and standards governing accounting practices and fiscal operations is required. 
 
Requires knowledge of chart of accounts, government/fund accounting, internal auditing, financial reporting and analysis, and application of accounting principles and practices. 
 
Requires the ability to perform intermediate level data analysis. Requires discretion in applying such analysis  to assess compliance with established policies and procedures.
 
Requires the ability to interact with supervisor, co-workers, judges, justices, attorneys, other state agencies, vendors and/or the public. 
 
Requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently; ability to use technical and professional language including legal.
 
Requires the ability to perform intermediate mathematical functions and utilize intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills. Requires ability to utilize standard office programs such as word processing, database management, project management, flow charting, web browsers and e-mail software as well as a working knowledge of on-line accounting systems. 
 
Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information.
