Justice Lanzinger Addresses Ohio Hospital Association Conference

Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger of the Supreme Court of Ohio today spoke to attorneys and risk managers at the Ohio Hospital Association’s Winter Conference.

“I am honored to have been asked to speak to the Ohio Hospital Association members today.” Justice Lanzinger said. “It was a good chance to review and explain several of the important cases decided by the Supreme Court in the past year.”

The Ohio Hospital Association is a membership-driven organization representing 170 hospitals and 40 health systems throughout Ohio.

Justice Lanzinger was elected in 2004 as the 150th Justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio and previously served on the 6th District Court of Appeals for Ohio, the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas and the Toledo Municipal Court. Her experience at all levels of the court system allows her a unique perspective of the Ohio judiciary. She currently chairs the Supreme Court’s Commission on Superintendence, which recommends rules for all Ohio courts. As a former elementary and high school teacher, Justice Lanzinger enjoys speaking to the community about the judicial processes. She also teaches regularly at the Ohio and National Judicial Colleges.
