The Supreme Court of Ohio announced today that public comment is now being accepted on proposed amendments to the rules of the Board of Commissioners on Grievances & Discipline.
One of the proposed amendments would allow a board appointee to serve up to three, three-year terms and eliminate the requirement that terms be consecutive in order to count against the term limitation. Currently, a member may be reappointed to not more than two, three-year terms, and can not serve more than two consecutive terms on the board.
Another proposed change would extend the time that a written consent to discipline agreement can be entered into – from 60 days to 90 days.
Comments on the proposed amendments should be submitted in writing to: Richard A. Dove, Assistant Administrative Director, Supreme Court of Ohio, 65 South Front Street, 7th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215-3431, or dover@sconet.state.oh.us no later than Jan. 29, 2008.View the complete proposed amendments to the Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio (Gov.
