Supreme Court Honors Five Professional Excellence Award Winners

2005 Professional Excellence Award WinnersThe Supreme Court of Ohio on Tuesday honored five of its employees with professionalism awards for their exemplary service to the Court.

“This institution is very fortunate to have so many talented and hard-working employees,” said Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer. “These annual awards are an important way to recognize the very best efforts of our staff.”

The Professional Excellence Awards are presented annually to up to five employees who distinguish themselves through demonstrating excellence in performance of their duties; demonstrating superior achievement in the completion of a special project or task; or displaying a positive attitude toward their work, fellow employees and the constituencies of the Court.

An awards ceremony was held Tuesday in the Courtroom of the Ohio Judicial Center. Recognized were:

Also recognized at Tuesday's event were 33 employees who received years-of-service awards from the Court.

“These awards give us the opportunity to collectively recognize the high degree of quality and professionalism that our employees bring to this Court and its constituents,” said Administrative Director Steven C. Hollon, who founded the awards in 2005. “This truly is a staff-driven event.”
