Reinstatement to the Practice of Law

Follow these instructions if you have been suspended from the practice of law for failing to comply with Gov. Bar R. VI ("Registration of Attorneys").
To be reinstated to the practice of law, you must do all of the following:
| Complete the current Certificate of Registration (available online at www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/AttySvcs/AttyReg/forms.asp, or by contacting the Office of Attorney Services at 614.387.9320 or attyreg@sc.ohio.gov). | |
| If you are registering for active or corporate status for the current biennium, pay the registration fee by check or money order, made payable to “The Supreme Court of Ohio.” Cash or credit card payments are not accepted. | |
| Pay the reinstatement fee by check or money order, made payable to “The Supreme Court of Ohio.” Cash or credit card payments are not accepted. (Reinstatement fee for completed applications filed before Sept. 1, 2007, is $200. Reinstatement fee for completed applications filed on or after Sept. 1, 2007, is $300.) | |
| Register for any missing prior biennia and pay all applicable registration fees for the missing biennia. If you need to register for prior biennia, contact the Office of Attorney Services for the appropriate forms. Certificates of Registration for prior biennia are available online at www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/AttySvcs/AttyReg/forms.asp. | |
| Complete the Application for Reinstatement. | |
| Return the certificate(s) of registration, reinstatement fee, all applicable registration fees, and Application for Reinstatement to: |

Incomplete applications will be returned to you unprocessed. While you are under an attorney registration summary suspension, you may not access the Supreme Court's online attorney services site.
